Binance Says Users Will Not Bear Losses After Major Security Breach

DUBAI – Binance has pledged to fully reimburse all losses resulting from a recent security incident, assuring users that they will not suffer any financial damage from the attack. The world's largest cryptocurrency exchange said its security teams quickly responded after detecting unauthorized withdrawal activity. According to the company, the attack has been contained and investigations are ongoing in cooperation with law enforcement agencies and blockchain intelligence partners. In an official statement, Binance emphasized that customer funds remain secure and that all losses linked to the incident will be paid from the company's Secure Asset Fund for Users (SAFU) and corporate reserves. Users will not be required to bear any of the financial impact. The exchange also revealed that approximately $3 billion in affected assets have already been frozen with the help of industry partners, while efforts continue to trace and recover the remaining funds. "User funds are safe," the company said, adding that there is currently no evidence that wallet private keys were compromised during the incident. As a precaution, withdrawals were temporarily suspended while additional security checks were carried out. The company stated that its teams are working around the clock to restore full services and strengthen protections against future attacks. The incident has drawn significant attention across the cryptocurrency industry, but Binance maintains that customers can remain confident that the exchange will absorb all verified losses and continue normal operations after remediation efforts are completed.
